Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage

Level 3 — Foundation

The Level 3 Sports Massage course is designed to help you build the practical skills, confidence, and hands-on experience needed to begin working with real clients.

Core Massage Techniques

Mastering effleurage, petrissage, and tapotement, along with full-body routines and professional body mechanics.

Client Consultation & Assessment

Learning to conduct consultations, perform postural and movement assessments, and create personalized treatment plans.

Sports & Event Massage

Adapting skills for pre-event performance and post-event recovery, including short 15-minute treatment formats.

Professional Practice

Understanding clinic setup, hygiene, safety standards, GDPR, and record keeping.

Practical Experience

Engaging in hands-on practice with other learners, delivering full-body treatments, and preparing for real client scenarios.

Assessment & Qualification

Completion requires practical assessments, an online theory exam, and a written assignment.

Level 4 — Advanced Sports Massage Therapy

Level 4 — Advanced

Subjective & Objective Assessment

Develop a clinical-level understanding of joint anatomy, postural analysis, and movement assessment. You'll learn to identify common patterns of dysfunction and pre-diagnosed injuries, and translate those findings into a structured, evidence-based treatment plan.

Advanced Soft Tissue Techniques

Master a specialist range of interventions including soft tissue release, connective tissue work, trigger point therapy, corrective transverse frictions, and muscle energy techniques. You'll learn how to evaluate effectiveness and adapt your approach in response to real client outcomes.

Treatment Modalities for Soft Tissue Repair

Understand how to support clients through acute, sub-acute, and chronic stages of injury recovery. Covers the clinical application of cryotherapy and heat treatments, including contraindications and how to make sound, evidence-informed decisions for each individual.

Our courses are suitable for anyone aged 16+ with an interest in health and fitness. Whether you're starting a new career, enhancing your current skills, or pursuing a passion, we support learners at all levels.

Do I need any previous experience?

No prior experience is required for most of our courses. We guide you from the fundamentals through to qualification.

What qualifications will I gain?

You will receive industry-recognised Level 3 or Level 4 qualifications, depending on the course you choose, enabling you to work professionally in your chosen field.

How are the courses delivered?

Our courses are delivered through a blend of online learning and in-person practical sessions, giving you flexibility while ensuring hands-on experience.

How big are the class sizes?

We keep our groups small (maximum of 10 students) to ensure personalised support and a high-quality learning experience.

What support will I receive during the course?

You’ll receive ongoing support from experienced tutors throughout your course, both during sessions and outside of class. Our course materials include e-learning and hard copy workbooks.

What happens if I need extra help?

We are an inclusive training school and offer additional guidance and support to ensure every learner has the best chance of success. If you have any additional learning needs, we will identify these at enrolment stage and ensure that any reasonable adjustments required are made to support your learning.

Will this qualification allow me to work straight away?

Yes - our qualifications are designed to prepare you for real-world work, whether that’s employment or self-employment. Additionally, some learners choose to go on to Higher Education.

Do you help with finding work after the course?

Yes, we offer post-course support including guidance on employment, self-employment, and connections with industry professionals. We are partnered with local gyms and learning centres, including VK Gym, Chichester Racquets and Tennis Club and Chichester College.

Can I start my own business after qualifying?

Absolutely. Many of our learners go on to start their own businesses, and we provide guidance to help you do this confidently, including marketing advice from industry experts to help you get your business off the ground.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes—we offer flexible payment plans to make our courses more accessible.

How do I secure my place?

You can secure your place with a deposit, with the remaining balance payable via instalments. If you choose to pay in full, we offer a 10% discount off the total cost.

Where are the courses held?

Our in-person sessions are held in and around Chichester, West Sussex, with access for learners across Sussex and Hampshire.

Do I need to attend every session?

Yes - attendance is important for practical learning and assessment, but we will support you if any issues arise.
